Safety concerns have arisen throughout the area. Most businesses have experienced thefts of backflow systems, copper pipes, wiring, and vehicles. As a result, many have hired private security for nights and weekends.

On Sunday, individuals returned to the area, jumping over the fence at 132nd & Figueroa Street into the nursery, then accessing buildings along Estrella Avenue.

Monday morning, they were leaving the nursery area with various metals they found in the buildings. I managed to follow them to their home and alerted law enforcement. The situation is complex to explain. The crime is occurring in the City of Los Angeles, under LAPD jurisdiction. However, the stolen items are being taken into Unincorporated LA County, under Century Sheriff's jurisdiction. Identifying the victim of the stolen metals was challenging. Additionally, since the nursery was the access point, its owner needed to be involved.

Alerting the local businesses along Estrella and trying to find the access points along the nursery.

Please do not let dumped items like mattresses, furniture or other bulky items go unreported. This mattress was dumped on 132nd and used to climb over barbed wire fencing. They disposed of the mattress this morning along Figueroa and 130th.

To report illegally dumped items along both sides of Figueroa and streets on the West side of Figueroa, Use the MYLA311 app, Call 311, Email 311@lacity.org

The above information works for all of City of Los Angeles Streets.
